Medical weight loss with semaglutide & tirzepatide in Pace & across Florida

Phoenix Medical Group offers a medically supervised weight-loss program built around your labs, health history and lifestyle. When appropriate, treatment may include GLP-1 medications such as semaglutide or tirzepatide, with ongoing monitoring by a board-certified nurse practitioner in our Pace office or by telehealth anywhere in Florida.

Is medical weight loss right for me?

GLP-1 weight-loss medications are generally considered for adults with a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or higher, or 27 or higher with a weight-related condition such as high blood pressure, prediabetes or type 2 diabetes, or high cholesterol. They are not right for everyone — for example, people who are pregnant or have a personal or family history of certain thyroid cancers. We review your history and labs to decide together.

How the program works

  • Consultation: your history, goals, current medications and past weight-loss attempts
  • Lab work: baseline labs to make sure treatment is safe for you
  • Your plan: medication when appropriate, plus practical nutrition, activity and habit guidance
  • Follow-up: regular visits to adjust your dose, manage side effects and track progress

Medication options

Options we prescribe when clinically appropriate include:

  • FDA-approved brand-name medications for chronic weight management, such as Wegovy® (semaglutide) and Zepbound® (tirzepatide)
  • Compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide, prepared for you by a licensed compounding pharmacy when your clinician determines it is appropriate

Compounded medications are not FDA-approved and have not been evaluated by the FDA for safety, effectiveness or quality. They are not the same as, or generic versions of, FDA-approved brand-name products. Your clinician will explain the differences, costs and risks so you can choose the option that fits you.

Side effects and safety

The most common side effects of GLP-1 medications are nausea, decreased appetite, constipation or diarrhea, especially when starting or increasing a dose. We start low, increase gradually and stay in touch so side effects are managed. Individual results vary.

Pricing

Weight-management visits are $129. Medication cost depends on whether you choose a brand-name or compounded option and is reviewed with you before you start. No insurance needed.
